1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Faith Pause - FaithFocus ("FaithFocus," "we," "us") handles information when you use our iOS app and these legal pages. FaithFocus is a personal habit tool for adults who want a short Scripture-focused pause before opening selected apps. It is not a parental-control product and is not affiliated with any church denomination.
2. Screen Time and on-device protection
With your permission, FaithFocus uses Apple Screen Time frameworks (including FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity) so you can select apps to shield and run Faith Pause. Apple opaque application tokens, shield schedules, unlock windows, and related counters stay on your device (including App Group storage shared with our extensions). We do not upload selected app names, bundle identifiers, raw Screen Time usage logs, or opaque tokens to our cloud services.
You can revoke Screen Time authorization in iOS Settings. Denying or removing authorization limits protection features.
3. Account data
To run the app we may process:
- Authentication identifiers from Firebase Authentication, including anonymous sign-in and, when you restore or purchase, Sign in with Apple linked to your account.
- Aggregated progress and preference data in Firestore under your user id (for example onboarding completion, content-path preference, and daily/weekly summary counters that do not include raw Screen Time or selected app identifiers).
4. Faith Pause content
Scripture text and editorial reflection content ship with the app bundle for offline use. We do not send the verse or prayer text you see during a pause to analytics. Session replay tools mask sensitive pause UI where configured.
5. Notifications
Local notifications may help you open FaithFocus after a shield action (for example to start a Faith Pause). Notification permission is optional. We do not use remote push infrastructure in the current version.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Paid features are sold through the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements and restore eligibility. We do not receive or store your full payment card numbers. Apple processes payment.
7. Analytics and diagnostics
We use PostHog for product analytics, error reporting, and session replay (sampled) to understand reliability and improve the product. This may include device and usage signals (for example app events, crash or exception data, and limited session context). Event properties are designed to avoid personal identifiers, verse text, and selected app identifiers. You can also control related OS privacy settings on your device where available.
8. Service providers
Depending on how you use FaithFocus, information may be processed by:
- Apple (App Store, Screen Time / device OS services)
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore)
- RevenueCat (subscription entitlement state)
- PostHog (analytics, session replay, error reporting)
- Vercel (hosting these legal/support pages)
9. Retention and deletion
You can delete your account from in-app Settings. Account deletion removes associated Firebase Auth and Firestore user records we control for the app. Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase records as required for billing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. On-device Screen Time state is managed by iOS and may remain until you revoke authorization or remove the app.
10. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold. Contact us at mmdincer@outlook.com with a clear request and enough detail to locate your account.
11. Children
FaithFocus is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
