1. Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Faith Pause - FaithFocus iOS app ("FaithFocus"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
FaithFocus is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (or the custom terms Apple presents with the App Store) where applicable.
2. The service
FaithFocus helps you interrupt selected apps with a short Faith Pause (Scripture, reflection, and prayer prompts) so you can continue or stay blocked intentionally. Features may change over time. Protection depends on Apple Screen Time APIs and your device permissions; we do not promise unbreakable blocking.
3. Spiritual content
Faith Pause content is provided for personal reflection. It is not pastoral counseling, medical advice, or denominational teaching. You are responsible for how you use Scripture and related prompts.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use FaithFocus. The product is intended for individual adult self-regulation, not parental control of another person's device.
5. Free tier and Premium
The free experience may limit protected apps (for example one selected app) and lock Premium policy modes such as Routine schedules and daily Limits, as shown in the app. Extra apps, categories, schedules, limits, and additional content paths require an active subscription or entitlement.
6. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are offered through the Apple App Store (for example weekly and annual plans). Prices are those shown by Apple at the time of purchase for your storefront.
- The annual plan may include a free trial when offered in the App Store (for example a 7-day trial). Trial availability and length can vary by region and offer eligibility.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (or the equivalent Apple subscriptions page).
- Restoring purchases is available in the app for eligible App Store transactions.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt services
- Use the app for unlawful content or activity
- Reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law
- Abuse free limits, trials, or entitlement systems
- Use FaithFocus to control another person's device without their informed consent
8. Device permissions
Screen Time and notification permissions are required for core protection and handoff flows. If you deny them, related features will not work as described. You remain responsible for your device settings and for apps you choose to shield.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information. It is part of how we operate the service alongside these Terms.
10. Disclaimer and liability
FaithFocus is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app, including reliance on shields, notifications, or Faith Pause content. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for FaithFocus subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50, to the extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases the limits apply to the maximum extent allowed.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
